George Clooney and Brad Pitt host a glittering charity dinner at Venice festival
Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney hosted a glamourous fundraising dinner on the eve of the 65th Venice Film Festival.

The event was held in aid of the Not On Our Watch charity, set up by the two actors and their "Ocean's Thirteen" colleagues to help disaster-hit areas of the developing world.
It has so far raised $7 million (£3.8 million) for victims of both the humanitarian crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan and the cyclone in Myanmar.
The charity's executive director Alex Wagner said family and filming commitments meant Clooney and Pitt were not often together to promote the charity, and so they seized the chance when it arose in Venice.
She said: "Scheduling is very difficult. The two of them happened to be in Venice at the same time ... so there was a brainstorming session."
Clooney was scheduled to discuss where the charity puts its money at the dinner on Venice's Giudecca island, which was attended by around 200 industry insiders and Italian VIP.
He was spotted just before the event, rushing past photographers saying he would be "un momento".
Clooney and Pitt, who recently celebrated the arrival of his twin son and daughter, are due to appear on the red carpet together again on Wednesday for the opening of the Coen brothers film "Burn After Reading".
The pair both have starring roles in the film, which tells the tale of two unscrupulous gym employees who come into possession of a disc containing the memoirs of a CIA agent, and attempt to sell it.
Burn After Reading is not in the Venice competition, but reaction will indicate whether the Coens can repeat the success of their Oscar-winning No Country For Old Men.
Pitt's partner, Angelina Jolie, gave birth last month to twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt. The couple have four older children, Maddox, seven, Pax, four, Zahara, three, and Shiloh, two.
