Dear responsible citizen of the world,
Cyclone Nargis killed 27,000 people in Irrawaddy Delta, Burma, on May 2 and 3. Even worse, the junta has transformed the natural disaster to "man-made catastrophe" which has taken the tolls of more than 100,000 people while 2.5 millions of survivors are deadly starving.
People have contributed in many ways. Some donated money. Some volunteer. Some offer relief aids. Some provide medical supplies. However, donors face the restrictions of the notorious military regime. Our contribution has not been enough to our brothers and sisters in Irrawaddy Delta. What the victims need is the professionally trained relief works and medical experts.
France, along with United Kingdom, has played an active role to help Nargis victims in a very large scale. Humanitarian intervention in Burma with or without the approval of United Nations is proposed to international community. The humanitarian intervention is the most effective way to save the lives of millions of the cyclone survivors.
We, as ordinary citizens of Burma, welcome French government for immediate humanitarian intervention on behalf of millions of starving cyclone survivors.
